I found Brotherhood to be a solid, grit-soaked crime drama that effectively explores the thin line between politics and organized crime. Set in an Irish-American neighborhood in Providence, it centers on two brothers—one a rising politician and the other a notorious gangster—whose lives constantly collide. I was particularly impressed by the show's lived-in atmosphere and its refusal to glamorize the violence, making the moral decay of both worlds feel incredibly authentic and immediate.

While the performances are standout and the character work is deeply three-dimensional, I felt that the pacing occasionally stuttered, and some supporting characters remained a bit stagnant over the three seasons. It is a heavy, often grim watch that doesn't offer many traditionally "likable" characters, but it rewards those who appreciate a realistic look at loyalty and corruption. It is a decent, well-crafted series that captures the weight of family ties in a way that feels both tragic and inevitable.
